Systems have been developed in the project in the last 3 years and the need for development will continue after the RPSM system has been chosen. Consideration must be given to the fact that the extent can significantly change over the course of the contract"s lifetime.          Resource and Process Management with Message Services (RPSM) is a system that, via interactive information monitors, integrations and mobile units, connects health personnel, patients, processes and systems together in real time. The intention is to have good interaction and to provide better services in interaction and it shall be a decision support system for all health personnel from when a patient is admitted until they are discharged. Several hospitals currently use the basic system and new installations are planned. Visualisation and interaction system with process support for sharing information and multi-disciplinary interaction in order to facilitate ‘transparent’ coordination amongst personnel.

         Professional health systems are critical in health personnel"s work of saving patients" lives and health and there are, therefore, high requirements for quality and stability. There is a great need for close integration and openness, adapted communication with the primary health service and other health companies at the same time that this is weighed up against sensitive personnel information and the accompanying information security.

         RPSM shall provide economic and/or qualitative gains and contribute to Oslo municipality Aker being able to reach the main targets of KAD, the emergency doctor surgery and the rehabilitation department. The effect targets are designed to give gains within 1 or several of the following dimensions:

         — Increased efficiency;

         — Increased quality;
