New Varhaug School — Turnkey Contract
Hå Municipality will expand Varhaug School so that it has a pupil capacity of 550 pupils.
The existing library and school wing along Pilevegen is to be demolished and replaced with a new library and new teaching area.
The extension is to be connected to the existing building.

The expansion of Varhaug School will be carried out as a turnkey contract.
The procurement will be carried out as an open tender competition that comprises:
— demolition of the library and school wing along Pilevegen,
— securing the remaining school building/buildings,
— erection of new teaching areas/building,
— alterations to parts of the existing building.
The school will be in full operation throughout the construction period. The remaining building and temporary school buildings will house approx. 500 pupils and 80 employees. Particular consideration must be given to this when implementing the contract. The areas that are to be altered in the existing building will be in use by the school in the construction period. The alteration of these areas must be planned in cooperation with the contracting authority.
The builder reserves the right to make changes to the choice of materials and use of materials.
The contracting authority reserves the right to cancel the competition for economic and/or political reasons.
The builder would like an option price for additional costs for choosing a brick facade in combination with wood cladding. See the architect"s description, point 235, external cladding/use of materials. The option must include all costs connected to switching from a facade with plating to a brick facade.
The option sum will not be used unless the builder places an order.
