Lillehammer Waterworks Hovemoen — Construction Engineering Contract
Lillehammer Municipality would like to establish a new waterworks facility at Hovemoen in Lillehammer with new water treatment. This will replace the existing waterworks at Korgen. The new water processing system with removal of manganese in the drinking water shall be conducted by adding lye and potassium permanganate, followed by sand screening and UV treatment. A back-up system containing chlorine.
The existing ground water wells are to be maintained, whilst a new superstructure and ground water pumps will be included in the contract work.
The work for a new waterworks facility are divided in 2 execution contracts as follows:
construction engineering contract (including electro and HVAC and sanitation) with co-ordination of progress and responsibility for safety, health and work environment for the main company.
Process engineering contract including automation.
Open tender contest.
The construction engineering contract mainly comprises:
A new waterworks building with basins, pump hall, workshop, garage, technical room and personnel section.
— amount excavated in the building pit: 20,000 m3,
— amount of concrete cast on site: Approx. 2 850 m3,
— amount of wood: 206 m3,
— area of prefabricated roof 1 700 m2.
Basin volumes:
— clean water basins 2 x 2 340 m3,
— flushing water basins 340 m3,
— sand filter basins 8 x 85 m3,
— flushing sludge basins 2 x 208 m3,
— oxidation basins 2 x 255 m3.
Overhead travelling cranes and crane beams.
Water, heating, sanitation, ventilation.
Electro, including building automation and monitoring operations.
External water and sewage pipeline installations.
Outside work with roads, parking, fencing, gates, kerbstones and green areas.
6 minor superstructures for ground water wells/vent manholes.
The work in the construction engineering contract includes the following disciplines: Construction, electro, HVAC and sanitation, building automation, roads, water and sewage and landscaping.
The contract form will be an execution contract as a general contract with contract terms based on NS8405:2008. The general contractor will progress coordination responsibility for the joint process engineering contract.
The work is expected to start in June 2019. The expected start-up of trial operations will be March 2021, and the final hand over after the approved trial operation will be March 2022.
The tender drawings will only be handed out in paper format to those present at the tender conference as the information is protected.
